Outstanding Patrol

Mt. Baldy has been recognized as the Best Small Patrol in the Western Region of the National Ski Patrol. The 39-member patrol is also the first runner up for the best patrol in the entire United States.

Meritorious Service

In addition to being the Best Small Patrol in the Western United States, four of our members were recognized by the National Ski Patrol with Purple Merit Stars for saving the lives of two critically injured skiers.

The Yellow Merit Star is given to ski patrollers who go above and beyond the call of duty in contributing to their patrol and to the NSP. Four Baldy patrollers received this award this year.

Mt. Baldy is a traditional resort with some of the best skiing and steepest terrain in Southern California. Mt. Baldy ski patrollers are among the best trained and most professional patrollers in the country.

We train hard but have fun doing it. Each of us is trained in the delivery of advanced first aid, CPR, and snow and toboggan skills far beyond those required of patrollers at other mountains.
